Winter – winter enters our space encircled in a cosmic cloak; she is not a child nor an old person, but a timeless figure. The cloak is more like whirls of ribbons, to symbolize the cycle of life perhaps. She mirrors Spring with this style of movement, but her gesture is cloistered to signify the impending cold and dormancy of winter. She looks out ahead, to begin another dream toward Spring. Winter is the season of introspection and lull, a time and place where all life is distilled from the clamour of activities and eventfulness, and captured in essence, the spirit, the dream and the sleep again. Until tomorrow when Spring must return. |
